For BP Financial clients
Bruce Peterson, CPA, is retiring and has chosen Snake River Tax Advisors to carry on his practice. Here's what that means for you.
What stays the same
- The office and the phone number stay the same.
- Your prior returns and records stay where they are. Nothing is shipped off or converted.
- Bruce will work alongside us through the 2027 filing season.
- Paper, mail, drop-off, phone and in-person appointments all still work.
What's new
- Each job is quoted as a single flat fee before work starts. Some quotes will be higher than before, and when they are, we'll explain why.
- IRS representation is handled in-house by Matt Reed, an Enrolled Agent and Certified Tax Resolution Specialist.
- We'll bring up planning questions during the year, not only at filing time.
- A secure portal and electronic signatures are available if you want them, but they're optional.
The authorization form
Your letter from Bruce includes an authorization form. Signing it lets us work from your history, including prior returns, depreciation schedules and carryforwards, instead of rebuilding it. That saves you time and money next spring.
Three ways to sign
- Sign and mail it back in the envelope provided.
- Sign electronically from the link in your email.
- Sign it at your appointment with your other paperwork.
If you've lost the form, call (208) 452-6600 and we'll send another.
